Deputy Manager (Nurse Qualified) – Domiciliary Care
Location: London
Salary: £45,000–£55,000 per annum (DOE) + performance bonus
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Reports to: Registered Manager / Director

We are now seeking an experienced and nurse-qualified Deputy Manager to play a key role in overseeing care delivery, mentoring staff, and ensuring outstanding clinical governance.

Operational Leadership
Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the service
Line manage care coordinators and senior carers, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care
Participate in business development activities, including client assessments and reviews
Deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager
Clinical Oversight & Quality Assurance
Conduct initial clinical assessments and risk assessments for new clients
Oversee and update care plans, medication administration, and clinical protocols
Ensure CQC compliance and maintain exceptional regulatory and internal audit standards
Identify areas for improvement and lead continuous quality improvement initiatives
People Management & Development
Supervise, mentor, and develop care staff to uphold professional standards
Lead on staff training and clinical up-skilling, including manual handling, PEG feeding, or catheter care if required
Manage safeguarding concerns, incident reports, and disciplinary processes where appropriate
Client and Stakeholder Engagement
Build trust-based relationships with clients and their families
Liaise with multidisciplinary teams, GPs, district nurses, social workers, and other professionals
Support client onboarding and periodic reviews, ensuring clinical needs are understood and met
Essential Criteria
Registered Nurse (Adult or Mental Health) with current NMC PIN
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a managerial or supervisory role in domiciliary care or community nursing
Strong understanding of CQC regulations and best practices in home care
Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse team
Confident in handling safeguarding, complaints, and compliance documentation
Clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel across London
Desirable Attributes
Experience working with affluent or high-profile clients
Knowledge of conditions such as dementia, stroke, Parkinson’s, or post-operative recovery
Excellent communication, discretion, and emotional intelligence
Business acumen and interest in shaping services and client relationships
