The Caregiver’s Retreat

Venelle’s search for an exceptional carer: win a luxury retreat & free respite care.

Honouring carers, five years on from the pandemic

At Venelle, we recognise the incredible dedication and selflessness of unpaid carers – those who provide unwavering care and support to loved ones, often without recognition or rest. Five years on from the pandemic, we want to honour their ongoing commitment by offering one deserving carer the chance to enjoy a well-earned luxury retreat at Bowood Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort in Wiltshire, along with free respite care from Venelle to ensure they can truly relax.

About the prize

The winner will receive a luxury stay at Bowood Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort, including access to:

  • The stunning spa, perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation

  • Fine dining experiences showcasing the best of local and seasonal ingredients

  • Tranquil grounds, ideal for unwinding in a peaceful setting

To ensure that the winner can fully enjoy their break without worry, Venelle will provide up to three free days of respite care for the loved one they support. Our expert team will work closely with the carer and their loved one to arrange compassionate and seamless care during their retreat, making this not only a luxury getaway but also a fully supported break from their caring responsibilities.

How to nominate

If you know an unpaid carer – a family member, friend, or colleague – who goes above and beyond to care for a loved one, we want to hear their story. Carers are also welcome to nominate themselves if they feel they would benefit from this well-deserved break.

To enter, simply complete the nomination form below, providing:

  • The nominee’s name and contact details

  • A brief story explaining why they deserve this special retreat and respite care

  • Your name and relationship to the nominee (if nominating someone else)

Key dates

  • Entries close: 31st March 2025

  • Winner announced: April 2025

How the winner is chosen

The winner will be carefully selected by Louise Blezzard, Founder & CEO of Venelle, and Matthew Voyle, General Manager at Bowood, based on the nominations received.

Free respite care for peace of mind

To make this break possible, Kelly Morris, Director of Care at Venelle, will personally visit the care recipient’s home to discuss their needs and introduce them to some of Venelle’s exceptional Personal Assistants (PAs) who she feels would be best matched. The care recipient will be able to choose the PA they feel most comfortable with, ensuring a smooth and reassuring transition while their carer enjoys their retreat. This free respite care is an essential part of the prize, allowing the winner to fully relax knowing their loved one is in trusted hands.
